Farhat Dar
I somehow passed the auditions to become a member of the group back in July 2008, and my first show was G&S favourite The Mikado. And, of course, on learning that I had to wear a wig and Geisha make-up, I was hooked – forget the singing! And it’s been my joy to be part of this wonderful group since then. And although since joining the committee I’ve come to realise there’s a lot of blood, sweat and sometimes tears involved in staging amateur theatricals, I’ve made some great friends and have had many wonderful times. Long may it continue.
I’m married, work in publishing, and now live in Ruislip, a London suburb similar in leafiness to Mill Hill.
