  • MHMTC 70TH ANNIVERSARY

Ruddigore

Friday 28 June @ 7.30pm

We're celebrating 70 glorious years of musicals and operettas in Mill Hill, with one of Gilbert & Sullivan's comic masterpieces.

70TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL
RUDDIGORE

Friday 28 June 2024

We had a brilliant time on stage performing out one-off semi-staged production of the Gilbert & Sullivan classic! And we had such an amazing response from the audience, who really appreciated the hard work put in by our excellent cast, who learnt so much in super quick time!  See the pictures below...

SYNOPSIS (thanks to Opera North)
Sir Despard Murgatroyd has inherited a centuries-old witch’s curse forcing him to commit a crime a day or die in agony.
So it’s a huge relief when Robin Oakapple is revealed as his long-lost elder brother and the true inheritor of the curse. Robin’s romance with the faultlessly correct Rose Maybud looks doomed, but his troubles really start when his feeble crimes drag his exasperated ancestors back from the dead to haunt him…
A reluctant villain, a modest maiden, amiable ghosts and scary professional bridesmaids – Gilbert & Sullivan make merry with Victorian melodrama in this hilariously inventive confection.

Director: Stephen Lanigan-O'Keeffe
MD: Ricardo Fernandes

Venue: Hartley Hall, Flower Lane, Mill Hill, London NW7 2JA
